Learn English: first steps

We learn to read, write and discuss in English language

New year, new life, and as we arrived already in the middle of March without having even begun a new production/cultural, I decided that the time has finally come to learn the English language in a satisfactory manner and self-taught. Motivation? Is it not possible that in 2019, a boy of thirty years which deals with software development and blogging do not know English.

I state that I am a top, and me to cable in English only thanks to Google Translate, so my experience starts from the zero absolute. Trascriverò my experiences using systems free of charge to understand if they work and if and when you need to pay for courses and certificates, so you can be a point of reference for those who want to learn without wasting time.

My expectations?

To be able to master English, read, write, discuss, and understand all the music that I listen to, and to be able to understand films and TV series. Of the certificate I don’t give anything, I am interested only to know how to do. So, let’s begin.

Duolingo

I’ll start with Duolingo, a service that I already use (very little), and now I will restart from the beginning. It is a free service, with additional features for a fee, which allows you to familiarize yourself with the foreign language by playing. Is suddisivo in several lessons, divided into difficulty and topics. At the end of a step are the seats of the exercises that you will need to go to the next step.

What I like about this service is that if we do not use it for a long time, as soon as we will start a new tutorial, this will resume all the steps above to make sure that we have not forgotten anything. Practically, in order to continue with the difficulties you need passion.

My training will consist of half an hour of exercise per day, for all days, so that does not become a burden.

Will come updates on the path and the results. Stay tuned.
