Slimbook: A great energy saver manager for Ubuntu

A battery optimization system that works on Gnome, KDE, Unity, Cinnamon and Mate

Slimbook is an easy and comfortable to use energy saving manager. Apart from giving the user a complete control panel for battery management, it also allows the quick selection of profiles from the menubar, so that we can decide at the moment if we prefer performance, or if at that moment we need to a longer autonomy.

Install Slimbook on Ubuntu

Open the terminal and execute these 3 commands in succession

sudo add-apt-repository ppa: slimbook / slimbook
sudo apt update
sudo apt installa slimbookbattery

How to uninstall Slimbook

Run the following terminal command

sudo apt remove --auto-remove slimbookbattery

then let’s move on to removing the slimbook ppa.
